It’s Christmas week, and we’re watching the brand new Miz Christmas movie (in a budding Movie Fighters tradition), Santa’s Little Helper! Unlike 2013’s Christmas Bounty, this one is a full-on Santa and elves extravaganza, and…it may be all the worse for it.

It’s December, which means it’s time for us to dive into some holiday films! We’re kicking off the month with a movie we wanted to watch last year, only to discover it was only in theaters: Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas. It’s on DVD now, so we had to take a crack at it.

We were…surprised by it. And flipped out over it. In not entirely negative ways! (Though they are mostly negative.)

Hasbrovember is coming to an explosive conclusion as we watch the 1986 animated Transformers movie!

It doesn’t go so well, unfortunately. Listen as we muddle through this box-office failure that has turned into a cult classic, for reasons we don’t entirely understand (soundtrack aside).

You demanded it, so we watched the third movie in the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls series!

This one’s a sports movie, and it pulls some real BS at the end. Like, some real BS. This infuriated Matt, but it didn’t ruin the movie for Chris. That’s right, they’re not totally on the same page this time! Listen to hear where they ultimately fell!

Spooktoberfest comes to a hard-hitting conclusion with our look at 2014’s wrestlers-vs.-zombies opus, aptly titled Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies.

It stars “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas, “Stronger than Death” Matt Hardy, Reby Sky, “Your Olympic Champion” Kurt Angle and “Triflin-ass, Cheatin’-ass” Jim Duggan. At least one of them is good in it!

Spooktoberfest kicks off and our first season comes to a close with a movie that we’ve been waiting for a very long time to watch: the direct-to-Showtime movie adaptation of Vampirella!

Roger Daltrey! Angus Scrimm! John Landis in a very weird cameo! Katana from Mortal Kombat! They’re all here. Not that it helps.

Can the newest WWE film starring superstar and former Shield member Dean Ambrose possibly live up to the hype we’ve built up in our minds for it? Does the premise of a cop being forced to make it out of a building crawling with bad guys with only 12 bullets in his gun follow through on its promise? Find out on our celebratory 50th episode!

On this episode, we’re welcoming our first-ever special guest: The writer and artist of the luchador comic La Mano del Destino, J. Gonzo! Gonzo joins us as we watch a film that is widely regarded as the best in silver-masked Mexican wrestler El Santo’s filmography. Is it particularly good? No. Is it a life-changing experience? You bet.

You can watch along with us on YouTube!

Check out Gonzo’s comics at the Castle & Key Publications store!

We’re wrapping up our series of pulp films with 1996’s The Phantom, a film that both of us remembered seeing, but neither of us really remembered. Once we started watching, we remembered why: It’s extremely boring, even though Billy Zane is charming as all get-out.

We’re back with another pulp-inspired movie! We’re watching the 1994 Alec Baldwin vehicle The Shadow, and it does not go well.

Somehow it turns out to be even worse than Chris remembers (Matt wanted to see it, but never did). It’s often boring, has no character development and has a really dumb flying knife that makes noises. That’s just scratching the surface.
